not even gonna lie, i really freaking wanted to end my college career with that CWS 3peat. but! i’m really proud of what our team has accomplished in the past 3 years. we set numerous CWS/NCAA records, brought home 2 national titles, and stayed classy and humble through it all. (not to mention we had some damn good looking players)

the first time i ever went to any baseball game was in spring of 2010, my first semester at USC. and now i love it- hella stressful to watch, but i love it. between that and a ton of other things, i’m beyond thankful that i transfered to USC when I did, and that i’ve gotten to experience so much school history in my 2.5 years here. i’ll never not be proud to be a gamecock.

thats how i would describe yesterday. spent the whole day out on the lake with steph, justin, and tyler. finally got all the way up on the wake surfboard- i’m gonna actually conquer that beast next time- lasted longer than 20 seconds on the tube. success. swam, danced, had hot dogs and grilled squash/zucchini with older pals, watched the sunset over the lake. then rushed home, got ready and went out with piccadilli peeps. byron didn’t make me cry, and we ran into sandy, and were creeped on by middle-aged hicks, one of whom was named “catfish billy”- i can’t- and we got cajun fries at cookout!!!. so yeah, other than everyone at group therapy being some lagoon creature, good day/night.

today: idk how it’s so early, i woke up a long time ago on lauren’s couch and she was over in the chair but i went back to sleep a few times. i have to find something to do til 130, then go to the goodwill clearance center for my internship. :-/ gonna need gloves… then my gamecocks have game 1 of the CWS finals tonight vs arizona, so it should be another good day i think!

gotta keep it classy though. even the longest tournament winning streak in the history of sport has to end sometime. i hope we come back against kent state with a vengeance wednesday.  

(edit: i stand corrected- we play tonight, tuesday, and wednesday - if we win)

• i’ve been a somewhat busy bee lately. especially today. but it’s better that way.
• i messed my left wrist up yesterday babysitting. a pillow flew out from under me whilst playing lava lake. burned in lava and hurt my wrist, insult to injury.
• my cell phone’s still working even though it was supposed to be cut off on the 10th. not complaining.
• i bought my tassel for graduation today; it’s champagne, not “light brown” like i was told- BIG difference. pleased.
• USC gets to defend our b2b national baseball titles next week. stoked on it! i’d like another parade/title, fa sho!
• ummmm i guess that’s all. well this was pointless :-/ gnf.

i’m nervous about the game tonight (and the other 2).

UCLA seems to have a pretty freaking solid team. and everyone that i’ve talked to today is like “yeah we got this! NBD” i’m like *gasp* yes it is! we can’t be so confident and cocky (even though it’s our mascot) just because we worked our way out of the losers bracket and beat Clemsux twice!

alls i’m saying, lets keep our wits (or whit as it is) about us and make this trip worth it! oh, 

and go gamecocks!

out of all of the college baseball teams in the country, 2 of the final 4 are from the palmetto state. more than that, it’s the two biggest rivals. and tonight we have to play each other. it’s such a harry potter vs. voldemort situation! for neither can live while the other survives. but i really hope we’re harry!
